One of my dining tables along with friends and collaborators Etienne Coffinier and Ed Ku on the current issue of Interiors.
Via Interiors:
Coffinier Ku Design is a partnership between Etienne Coffinier and Ed Ku. The company was founded in 1998 to bring a French-trained expertise in architecture and interior design to the United States market. Design work begins with a strong structural and architectural base and continues into detailed, primarily custom furniture and furnishings.
The clients wanted the space to feel modern and contemporary without feeling cold,” says Ed Ku of a loft he and his partner Etienne Coffinier designed in New York’s SoHo neighborhood. 14-foot-high ceilings in the former art gallery, the designers introduced wide-plank mahogany floors, translucent wool curtains, rich rugs and dramatic custom-made crystal chandeliers from Amsterdam’s Studio Edward Van Vliet. “We tried to create a space that is defined by major statements, whether they be architectural or furnishings, “ says Ku. “A space that was uncluttered and had only things that were important.”

My dear friend Pam Barry artfully assembles stones, found objects, and beads into modern and organic statement jewelry.
“I’m interested in creating jewelry that enhances feelings of aliveness, beauty, & playfulness. I love making objects that can draw people together and spark conversations.”

A beautiful video from my beautiful friends.
The All Dhafra Camel is one of the most famous camel festivals in the world. Held each year in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates in the Madinet Zayed region abut two hours from the capital of Abu Dhabi. It is 10 days of activities, markets and the amazing friendliness of the Emirati Bedouin peoples. These clips are part of a bigger project but I just wanted to edit together a beautiful morning I spent filming Camels in the mist.
